Meet Jayne
Originally from Canada, I spent much of my professional career living, studying, and practising in the United Kingdom before returning home to Canada. Working across both countries has given me the privilege of supporting people from diverse backgrounds and has deepened my appreciation of how culture, family, relationships, and environment shape our experiences of ourselves and one another.
That perspective continues to inform the way I approach therapy, with curiosity, humility, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique story.
Professionally, I practise as a Counselling Therapist (CT) with the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta, a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA), a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
I completed my BA (Hons) in Counselling Studies and my MSc in Psychology at the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom, where I also completed my clinical training as a Counselling Therapist and Clinical Supervisor.
Throughout my career, I have worked across private practice, community organisations, and corporate environments, including Your Emergency Service, the Nighttime Emergency Outreach Network, the Women’s Rape and Sexual Assault Centre, Cornwall Rape and Sexual Assault Centre, and the Penhaligon Counselling Agency.
Today, I continue to maintain private practices in both Canada and the United Kingdom, supporting individuals and couples with a relational, integrative, neurodiversity-affirming, and 2SLGBTQI+-affirming approach to therapy.
